Based on current COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, families will be notified when a student, teacher, or other adult in their child’s class tests positive for COVID-19. Potential exposure to a positive case does not require quarantine.
Public Health strongly recommends, but does not require, that students who are potentially exposed to COVID-19:
- Wear a mask for 10 days after exposure (when indoors, except when eating or drinking)
- Take a COVID-19 test between 3-5 days after exposure (unless student has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days)
- Monitor for symptoms for 10 days after potential exposure
