Helping Student Anxiety

Helping Student Anxiety

Chaparral is pleased to announce a Parent Education Night focused on providing information about Anxiety in Students. This informational night will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 6:00pm – 7:15pm in the Chaparral MPR. Third grade teacher, Claudine Mullenaux, will lead this workshop and discussion. Learn about the differences between stress and anxiety, how to recognize the signs of anxiety in children, learn strategies of what both parents and students can do, and when to get help.

For years Ms. Mullenaux has been an avid learner of the brain-body connection to student learning and teaching children as individuals. Ms. Mullenaux understands the divergent needs of learners and the need to meet the emotional and social needs of kids. She practices mindfulness for children and adults, and yoga. She has taught in LVUSD since 1991 in grades 1-5 and GATE.
