Spring Break Travel Reminder

Spring Break Travel Reminder

Spring Break Travel Reminder
With Spring Break around the corner, this is a reminder that the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and California Department of Public Health continue to require that those who travel out of state must quarantine for 10 days upon their return. We expect that staff, students, and their families will adhere to this quarantine expectation if they travel out of state so that we continue to minimize community spread of COVID. Students that need to quarantine can do the work the District has provided. Students should also complete the asynchronous work that their teacher assigns each week.

“Run, Cubs, Run!”

“Run, Cubs, Run!”

Thanks to the generous support of our Parent community, Chaparral’s PFC was able to donate a new running track to Chaparral! Chaparral Staff, administration, district staff and PFC leadership were able to work quickly to get this significant campus improvement planned and executed quickly to give our kids something incredible to come back to! We are thrilled that the new track will be both a beautiful and functional improvement to our school, giving our kids a safer, smoother and mud free place to run and walk!

Hello Chaparral Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! Whether you are attending Virtual Academy or “On Campus” learning we are one united Chaparral community! As your Co-Presidents, we are excited to lead you into this new school year and provide the best experience for our children.

We have been working all summer to ensure that this year is the best it can be for our kids and community, and are getting creative to do just that! Although things won’t be the same, we are looking forward to new ways to connect, engage, and fundraise to give our kids the very best!

As always, we are open to your input, ideas, and help. Please reach out to chaparralpfc@gmail.com anytime! Our first Zoom PFC Meeting will be on Friday, September 11th at 8:15 am. Please join us to discuss the upcoming year, events we have planned and how you can get involved. We are so grateful for your support!

To our FAMILIES who have already donated to our annual Donor Drive, THANK YOU. Your donations are extremely important! You can make your annual Donor Drive contribution at ParentSquare: Payments. Please help us reach our goal of 100% participation in 100 days! We are working to add back specialists and staff as donations and scheduling permits and need to prepare for the day we can return to On Campus learning. Without your donations, none of that will be possible.

We want to thank the PARENTS of our community! Not only because you have stepped up and helped in unimaginable ways, but also for your patience and perseverance in all of the new roles you have assumed at home. You are incredible! Thank you for supporting your fellow parents as well as your own families. THANK YOU to our amazing EXECUTIVE BOARD and PFC committee and event chairs. With your help, we will make this year great for our community!

We are so grateful to have an incredible ADMINISTRATION who has worked tirelessly without pause to ensure our children’s success. THANK YOU especially to Mrs. Brazell, Mrs. Donna Welti and Mrs. Lampert for all you have done and continue to do for our children and school! We are so grateful our school is under your leadership through this difficult time.

We are only as strong as each of us and we are so grateful to be a part of this amazing and strong community. Thank you for your commitment to your kids, school and community!

All the best, Your Presidents: Grace Fisher, Lindsay Vaisman and Julie Berkus
